Dr. Jaya Agarwal

Dr Jaya Agarwal is a Senior Pediatric Gastroenterologist running an exclusive pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology unit in a tertiary care super speciality hospital at Kanpur. Being trained at premier institutes like King’s College Hospital, London and Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow she has extensive exposure & experience in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary illnesses in children. She has expertise in therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures and liver transplant management in children as an added edge. As it is rightly quoted that ‘Children are not small adults’ she believes in providing the finest and most advanced medical treatment to children of all sections of society. On the research forefront, she has twenty-eight publications (21 international and 7 national) till date in journals of repute indicating her commitment to research and education in the medical field. She has presented papers in both International and national conferences and won awards for the same, creating a benchmark for herself in academics at international level. She is member of various professional organisations ISPGHAN (Indian society of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition), IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics), ISG (Indian society of Gastroenterology), INASL (Indian National Association for the study of liver), ASGE (American society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) and has been executive member of ISPGHAN (2019-21). She is on the editorial board of APGH journal and reviewer for multiple international and national journals. Her vision is to disseminate the highest level of health care with compassion, knowledge and honesty to the society.
